Thank you for your overwhelming response to helping us form the NGHS Participant Advisory Board. We have not one but three boards!!

We want to thank the more than 50 NGHS women who expressed interest in being part of our Participant Advisory Board(s). Because of the huge interest, we have formed 3 boards of 10 women who will meet quarterly in 2023. The engagement and insight from these participants has been inspiring so far, and we welcome anyone’s comments about what the study means to them, how we can improve communications, and what the study should focus on in the future. Please look forward to updates from the wonderful feedback the boards are providing on all thing NGHS.

The Advisory Boards are convened to help the NGHS investigators at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) understand how to make this study more relevant to you as participants, and how the study should be positioned moving forward. We are particularly interested in understanding differences in how Black and White participants view the study, and ways that we can work together to improve communications, engagement, and follow-up.

  • The NGHS Participant Advisory Board will meet virtually 4 times in the next yea — you don’t need to live in the Cincinnati area to participate. In fact, we hope some who have moved away will be part of this advisory group!

  • Participants will be paid for their time.
